Three promises we don't break.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell it. You can export or delete everything, any time, in one click. The rest of this page is the detail behind those three lines.
01Who this covers
This policy applies to everyone who uses amberbird.ai: visiting the website, signing up for an account, chatting with the assistant, uploading documents, or messaging our team. By “we,” “us,” and “our,” we mean Amberbird.AI, Inc.
02What we collect
We collect only what we need to help your case. There are three buckets:
Email, name, password hash, time zone, and (if you set it) your phone number for SMS reminders. That's the lot.
Your visa status, employer, timeline, documents you upload, and questions you ask the assistant. This is the sensitive material. It's encrypted at rest and never used to train shared models.
Standard log data: browser, IP, pages visited. We use it for security, fraud prevention, and improving the product, never to follow you around the web.
03How we use it
- To provide the service: answers, checklists, reminders, and form walkthroughs you signed up for.
- To send transactional emails: confirmations, deadline alerts, security notices.
- To improve the product in aggregate using stripped, anonymized signals. Your case content is not used to train shared models.
- To meet legal obligations and prevent abuse of the service.
05Where we store it
All data lives in encrypted AWS infrastructure in the United States (us-east-2 and us-west-2). Data is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3 and at rest via AES-256. Internal access is gated by role-based controls and audit-logged.
06Your rights
- Access — download a complete copy of everything we have about you.
- Correct — edit your account and case information directly from Settings.
- Delete — permanently erase your account and everything tied to it, one click, no waiting.
- Object — opt out of analytics or product-improvement signals from Settings.
07How long we keep it
While your account is active, we keep your data so you can use the service. When you delete your account, we permanently erase your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated metrics may be retained for service-level reporting. Backups roll off naturally on the same window.
08Children
Amberbird.AI is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we'll delete it.
09Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and post the change at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
